Sometimes you have a bad day.

Work didn’t go quite right, had an argument with a friend, got tricked by an internet meme, whatever. Day doesn’t go like you’d think it would.You come home, a little bummed.

And then sometimes the day takes a turn. When you get home and find a package by your mail slot, and you open it up, and find a copy of Superman: Birthright. And you flip open the cover to find this:

If you can’t read that, it says, “To Jeff – who gets it. -Mark Waid”

So, yeah. Thanks to Mark Waid, who continues to be not only a really great writer, but my favorite comic book writer.
