Sorry folks, big deadline day to deal with, can’t devote full energy. Braak may come along later today with more people to yell at.

In the meantime, two things:

1) What red wine goes with bacon-wrapped filet mignon? I’m generally just partial to shiraz, but does the bacon somehow change things up? So I guess what I’m asking is, “What wine goes with bacon?”

2) Follow-up question: If your meal were just wine and bacon, would you be living a pretty sad life, or possibly the most awesome life ever?

    Any bright dry red will go well, since the dominant flavor should be the steak anyway. Shiraz, Cabs, etc.
