Question For Writers

Particularly freelancers out there –

Who charges per hour, vs. per project? How does one come to this conclusion?

And – assuming this isn’t too personal – what do you generally charge?

(You have to understand, in my freelancing experience I’ve mostly been paid in beer.)

  1. braak says:

I get paid about $25 for a freelance book review.

  2. Erin says:

Don’t knock the beer: that’s more than I’ve ever made.

  3. dagocutey says:

    Explains a lot.

  4. Jeff Holland says:

Since I’m not sure which of us Dagocutey was zinging, I have no choise but to proclaim that comment to be a rare Quadruple-Burn.

  5. I want to be paid in beer. Well, beer and rent maybe. I should write reviews for a pub with housing above it.
