As a supporter of local community arts efforts – and they don’t get much more local than the area that spawned this particular brain trust – Threat Quality Press is passing along this request from the nonprofit ACPPA Community Art Center in Norristown, PA. Your vote can get them some much-needed assistance.
From the center’s website: “ACPPA provides diverse learning opportunities that use art as a tool to strengthen individual power and nurture creative self expression.”
Its programs include studio arts, dance, community projects, family and summer workshops for at-risk youth, in an area where youth arts programs are becoming harder to find every year. And who can’t get behind that?
To that end, ACPPA’s working to revive a historic landmark for use as a community center, with assistance from Pepsi’s “Refresh Everything” funding program. If they get enough votes.
Which is where you, the wise, civic-minded and, dare we say, deathly attractive TQP readers come in: Follow this link, click the great big “Vote For This Idea” button on the right, and help ACPPA reach its $250,000 goal.
It’s so kids can do art. Look at ’em! Look at ’em doing art:
There, I have warmed the cockles of your hearts. Go vote!
